More artifacts unearthed at the ancient site of Thyateira


More findings were uncovered during the excavations at the ancient city of Thyateira dating back to 3200 BC in Akhisar district of Manisa province. Pieces of pottery, flint knives, idols and loom weights in addition to an ancient structure believed to be an altar are among the findings excavated on site. It is supposed that the excavation works on site will shed light on an important historical period.
