Ancient tombs of Hierapolis being restored


The excavation works at the ancient city of Hierapolis, which is among the valuable assets of Pamukkale and inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, has restarted. It has been mentioned that the site planning of the necropolis, Turkey’s largest ancient cemetery with a history dating back to 2500 years ago, has been made and that the excavation and restoration works will begin.
