Excavations at “Ephesus of the Black Sea” continue


Excavation works are in progress at the ancient city of Prusias ad Hypium situated in the Western Black Sea Region and founded in the 1st century BC. Referred to as the "Ephesus of the Black Sea” and the site of the best-preserved theater of the Roman period, this region is located within the boundaries of ancient Bithynia and sheds new light on the history of Anatolia.
