8th century Amphorae Returned to Turkey

Two 8th century amphorae representative of the Anatolian culture and taken to the U.S. in 1950 have been returned to Turkey as a result of the efforts of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to retrieve historical works.  Belonging to the late Roman period, these works, as many other works retrieved in the recent years, have taken their place in the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations.
